PGA - PORTUGÁLIA AIRLINES, one of the most charming regional European Airlines, was founded in Portugal in 1988 on the initiative of COOPAV- a pilot's organisation, and counted on the support of Espirito Santo Group as its former major shareholder.
At first PGA only operated regular flights on the Lisbon-Porto and Lisbon-Faro routes, with chartered flights to international destinations. Only in June 1992 did PGA start operating its international scheduled services.
In addition to its major presence in the Iberian and French market, PGA is a comfortable and pleasant choice for passengers travelling between Portugal and the most important regional airports in Europe. During the past ten years, PGA has established a strong position in the business and leisure passengers segment.
Operating a fleet of 14 jets (6 Fokker 100s and 8 Embraer 145s), PGA flies daily from Lisbon, Porto and Faro to 22 destinations in Europe as well as to Casablanca (Morocco).
